Sabudana and Sweet Potato Tikkis. Pan-fried tikkis/ patties made using the very healthy sweet potatoes and sago. Perfect for fasting days and a very healthy breakfast option.
- 2 boiled and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 small boiled and mashed potato
- 1 cup soaked sago/ sabudana
- 1/4 cup coarse ground roasted peanuts
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2-3 chopped green chillies
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 coarse ground black pepper
- salt to taste
- Oil for pan-frying
Mix all of the above with gentle hands.
Shape into patties/ tikkis applying some oil on the palms of your hands.
Heat a cast iron skillet/pan, add 2 tbsp oil and spread well.
Shallow/ pan fry the tikkis until golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with a cilantro/ mint chutney. Some buttermilk on the side is very good too.
