Minestrone soup is a classic Italian soup that uses seasonal vegetables, beans, pasta, and lots of tomatoes. I love my homemade fall version and occasionally add tortellini pasta as well.
Besan Barfi. A delicious festive Indian sweet that is made using besan or gram flour. It is gluten-free and much loved across the country especially around Diwali.
Phirni. A classic creamy rice pudding dessert that is delicious and best served chilled. It is popular across North India during festivals and celebrations.
Delhi Style Aloo Chaat. Crispy pan-fried potatoes tossed in a mix of spices and lemon juice and loads of chutney. A very popular street-style dish in Delhi.
Dal Bhari Puri. A festive dish from the city of Banaras. Chana dal stuffed pooris that are mandatorily served along with kheer, dahi bade and kaddu ki sabji. This is a celebratory meal.
